March 7th, 2–4pm
ZAPilates: 2a High St, Caterham CR3 5UA
Low back pain is one of the most common issues Pilates teachers encounter — yet it can often feel confusing, intimidating, or unclear how best to support clients safely.
This practical, evidence‑informed workshop will give you the clarity and confidence to teach clients with low back pain effectively. You’ll learn how to recognise common patterns of back pain, understand when to adapt and when to refer, and modify both mat and reformer exercises with ease.
Across the session we’ll explore real‑world presentations including:
• nerve‑related and disc‑related pain
• mechanical and muscular low back pain
• sacroiliac joint pain
You will leave with clear, usable knowledge that you can take straight back into your teaching — helping clients move better, feel safer, and gain more from their Pilates practice.
Learning Outcomes:
✓ identify common low back pain presentations and their movement patterns
✓ recognise yellow and red flags
✓ adapt Pilates (mat and reformer) exercises safely and confidently
✓ choose regressions and progressions based on irritability
✓ use language and cueing that supports client confidence
✓ reduce fear, increase movement options, and improve client outcomes
